Leah Payne, Ph.D. is an Affiliated Scholar at the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) and director of Candler School of Theology’s Summer Institute for Global Charismatic-Pentecostal Studies. Payne is author of “God Gave Rock and Roll to You: a History of Contemporary Christian Music” (Oxford University Press) and host of the podcast “Spirit & Power: Charismatics and Politics in American Life” from The Institute for Religion, Media, and Civic Engagement.
