She started her career as a local reporter in New York City, worked as a freelancer for the Washington Post and the New York Times, and was most recently a reporter for NBC News Digital and Mother Jones. She earned degrees from New York University and the University of Cambridge and has completed two fellowships with USC’s Center for Health Journalism.
